Darrin Hook

Darrin E. Hook, 34, Leeton, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, in an auto accident south of Warrensburg. He was born Dec. 25, 1965, in Warrensburg, the son of Gerald Hook and Barbara K. Simmons Hook. On April 2, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Deborah McMurphy, who survives. Mr. Hook was a 1984 graduate of Warrensburg High School. He was employed at Stahl Specialty Co. and was a volunteer for the Cornelia Fire Department and a coach for girls' little league softball. Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter, Casandra, of the home; two stepsons, John Thomas Schnakenberg and Jami Dale Schnakenberg, both of the home; his father, Gerald Hook, Warrensburg; his mother, Barbara Hook, Warrensburg; and a brother, Russell Hook, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb, 6, at the Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home, Warrensburg, with the Rev. Frank E. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the funeral home in Warrensburg. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
