Changing Email Settings (Windows Mai-Vista)

 

  • Click Start and open Email (Windows Mail)
  • Click Tools then Accounts
  • In the Internet Accounts box highlight your email account and press Properties
  • Click on the Servers tab
  • Enter pop.iland.net in the Incoming mail (POP3) box
  • Enter smtp.iland.net in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box
  • Enter you full I-Land email address (i.e.username@iland.net) in the E-mail username box
  • Check the box My server requires authentication box
  • Click on the Advanced tab
  • Enter the number 587 in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box
  • Click OK and then Close to finish

 

You have now completed the steps needed to be able to send and receive email. If you have any problems with your email after following these instructions please go back and insure that you have entered your full I-Land email address for the Account/Username, that you checked the box “My server requires Authentication” and that you have the number 587 in the Outgoing mail server box.
