Netscape 7.2 Instructions

Open Netscape 7.2

On the Edit tab, select “Mail and Newsgroup Account Settings…”

Click “Add Account” from the left bottom, then select “Email account” and click “Next”.

When this box pops up, click on “Email account”.

Click on “Add Account”.

Fill in the textboxes for Your Name (e.g. John Doe – this is the name recipients will see when they
get your email) and Email Address (e.g. username@iland.net), then click “Next”.

 

 

Select the “POP” radio button, type in your Incoming Server name in the textbox
(e.g. pop.iland.net), then click “Next”.

 

Enter your “Incoming User Name” (e.g. username@iland.net), then click “Next”.

 

Enter your Account Name (mail.iland.net), then click “Next”.


Click “Finish” to save the account, but note that there is still some setting up to do.

 

Select “Outgoing Server” in the left menu. Under “Server Name”, enter your Outgoing
Server (SMTP) name (e.g. smtp.iland.net) .

Check the checkbox beside “Use name and password”.

Click “OK” to save the settings.
