Netscape 4.5, 4.6 & 4.7x (Mail)
  1. Open Netscape.

  2. Click on Edit, then on Preferences.

  3. Select the plus (+) next to Mail & Newsgroups under Category.

  4. Select Identity under Mail & Newsgroups.

  5. Next to Your name, enter the name you wish to appear on the emails you send to others.

  6. For Email address, enter your email address.  Your email address looks something like username@iland.net (i.e. support@iland.net).

  7. Select Mail Server under Mail & Newsgroups.

  8. Under Incoming Mail Servers click on Add.

  9. In the Server Name box, type mail.iland.net.

  10. In the Server Type box, select POP3.

  11. In the User Name box, type your username.  Your username is the first part of your email address.   For example, if your email address was support@iland.net, then you would enter support here.

  12. Click on OK.

  13. Enter mail.iland.net next to Outgoing mail (SMTP) server.

  14. Enter your username next to Outgoing mail server user name.  Your username is the first part of your email address.   For example, if your email address was support@iland.net, then you would enter support here.

  15. Click on OK.
