ISDN Tips and Tricks

Getting started:

  • When installing the ISDN modem, make sure to start the system and if asked to log into Windows (a login screen before Windows opens), click on Cancel. This will allow the ISDN modem to be used in any profile that the system may have.
  • If you have problems getting the ISDN modem installed and setup, you may want to either call the manufacturer of the modem or the company from which you purchased the modem.

Troubleshooting:

  • If it seems that you are not making a connection, shut down the system and then turn off the modem. Next, turn on the modem and then turn the system on and try to surf again. Of course, if all else fails, please call Technical Support.
  • You can test your ISDN line by plugging a regular phone into the back of the TA. You should be able to dial the access to I-Land make sure that you hear modem tones on the other end. If you get an operator, you may need to call the Phone Company to have the line checked out.
