Thursday, February 26, 6:30 p.m. UCM Gallery of Art and Design, 217 Clark Street, Warrensburg--time and place for the February Mid-Missouri Artists meeting. Come at 6:30 to view the fantastic "Earth Stories" exhibit and socialize. At 7 p.m. Annie Helmericks-Louder and Marilyn Prucka - both artists with works in this international exhibit will present the program about the works in the exhibit. Earth Stories features art quilts by members of the Studio Art Qjuilt Associates (SAQA). According to Gallery Director Christian Cutler, The 24 quilts in the exhibit . . . celebrate the stories of people or projects that enhance the planet, make a significant difference in restoring and/or protecting the environment, increase sustainability and otherwise improve the earth we all occupy. Each artist has provided an album showing the stages of creating the work in the exhibit. All MMA meetings are FREE and open to the public - admission to the UCM Gallery is also always FREE! If you love art--if you love quilts--if you love the earth--come to this program! Parking is free also across the street in the library lot - after 5 p.m. open to anyone.
